New STAR WARS Game Announced: STAR WARS: ZERO COMPANY Is a Turn-Based Tactics Adventure

Heads up, Star Wars fans! EA and Lucasfilm just dropped the name of their next big game: Star Wars: Zero Company. That’s about all they’re officially releasing for now, along with a poster, but the few details we do have are already sparking all kinds of excitement (and speculation).

What we do know is that it’s a single-player, turn-based tactics game that’s been quietly cooking behind the scenes, and is being developed by Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment.

It’s set to explore a part of the Star Wars timeline that clearly dips into the prequel era, judging by the poster art shown off so far. And it looks like we’re getting another classic “group of misfits with a mission” setup, which is very on-brand.

The art features a Tognath Jedi wielding a lightsaber, an Umbaran likely channeling some of that eerie Clone Wars energy, a scoundrel-looking human with a trusty R5 droid, a grizzled Clone Trooper sporting some gnarly Phase-I armor, and a Mandalorian from an unknown house.

No names yet, no backstories, just a crew that screams potential.

If you want to know more about Star Wars: Zero Company, we’re going to have to keep tabs on Star Wars Celebration 2025 news for updates. EA Games and Lucasfilm have been at work developing the single-player turn based tactics video game but are keeping most details, aside from the name, under wraps for now.

It was also announced that info drop is coming April 19, during Star Wars Celebration. The game will get a proper spotlight with a panel hosted by Lucy James, featuring the teams from Bit Reactor, Respawn, and Lucasfilm. Expect more details about how the gameplay works, story direction, and probably a closer look at that mysterious squad.

So, stay tuned for more details!
