The first two Frozen films are exemplary Disney films that amid a few flops have brought us back to the best of what the studio has to offer. The stories are great, and the music is catchy and beautiful, thus the franchise marches on to bring us a third film.
The studio has not released any official details to the general public, but it’s been reported that an official synopsis for Frozen 3 was shared during a Disney Consumer Products Division Launch Conference in Shanghai, China.
While the original materials from the event are no longer available online, multiple sources replicated the synopsis, which, though unconfirmed by Disney, sound like a natural progression to the story. You can check out the posts below.
The translated synopsis reads: “In this new chapter, witness the wedding of the century in Arendelle as Queen Anna walks down the aisle and joins Elsa on a new magical journey filled with unknown challenges. And what’s even more exciting: the royal family is about to welcome a mysterious new member!”
Could that mean a royal baby? While some of Disney’s princesses have had children in their straight-to-home release sequels of many decades ago, this would be a first pregnancy for a major big-screen Disney princess.
With the movie kicking off with the wedding between Queen Anna (Kristen Bell) and Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), this could be a natural addition to the story. It could also mean a completely different surprise, and I’m excited to see who it ends up being.
Frozen 3 is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 24, 2027.
