Marvel producer Brad Winderbaum has wrapped up the studio’s animated series What If…?, and is looking ahead to other projects on the horizon. One character whose future he is excited about is Ms. Marvel.
Iman Vellani first appeared as Kamala Khan in her self-titled Disney+ limited series, Ms. Marvel. She went on to team up with Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) in The Marvels. We don’t know what the rest of her journey will entail, Winderbaum teases she is “top of mind.”
During an interview with THR, Winderbaum said:
“I love Iman. She’s incredible. I love that character. I will tell you that she’s certainly a big part of the MCU to me. Ms. Marvel is a really important show to us, and without going into great detail, because I don’t want to spoil anything, she is top of mind. So it’s going to be exciting to see where she pops up next.”
The last time we saw Kamala was at the end of The Marvels, when she recruited Hawkeye‘s Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) to the Young Avengers.
We are hoping that story takes off and we get to see Kate and Kamala kick ass alongside some other young members of Earth’s Protectors. In the meantime, Ms. Marvel will appear in an episode of Marvel Zombies, which will hit Disney+ next October.
